Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using www.atelier8zurich.com or booking any services with atelier 8 GmbH. By accessing this website or booking a service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1 / About Us
atelier 8 GmbH is a company registered in Switzerland, operating at Paulstrasse 14, 8008 Zürich. We provide private and group Pilates instruction and personalised nutrition coaching services, including corporate wellness programmes and workshops. Our services are offered in person at our studio and, where agreed, online.

2 / Scope of These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the atelier 8 website (www.atelier8zurich.com) and the purchase and use of all services offered by atelier 8 GmbH. By booking a service or using the website, you enter into a binding agreement with atelier 8 GmbH under Swiss law.
These Terms apply to all clients, including private individuals, families, and corporate clients. Additional or modified terms may apply to corporate wellness engagements and will be set out in a separate written agreement.

atelier 8 GmbH offers the following services:

Private and duet Pilates sessions (apparatus-based, classical method)

Group Pilates mat classes for adults, teens, and children

Nutrition workshops (in-studio and tailored)
Service descriptions, availability, and pricing are set out on the website and may be updated from time to time. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service with reasonable notice.

Our services are provided by Dr. Stephanie Fiorito, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentialed with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (US), PhD in Integrative Molecular Medicine (Life Science Zurich Graduate School), Certified Classical Pilates Teacher (Uno Pilates School, Zürich), and Functional Medicine Certified Professional™ (FMCP) with the Institute for Functional Medicine.
4 / Bookings and Appointments
Appointments may be booked via the website, by email, or by telephone. A booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from atelier 8. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
For new clients, an initial consultation may be required prior to commencing services, particularly for nutrition coaching. This allows us to assess your individual needs and ensure our services are appropriate for you.
Session packages, if purchased, are valid for the period stated at the time of purchase. Unused sessions do not carry over beyond the validity period unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5 / Health and Medical Disclaimer
Important: The services provided by atelier 8 GmbH are for general health, wellness, and educational purposes. They do not constitute medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice and are not a substitute for professional medical care.
By booking our services, you confirm that you are in generally good health and physically capable of participating in Pilates and/or nutrition coaching. You agree to disclose to atelier 8 any relevant medical conditions, injuries, medications, allergies, or other health circumstances prior to commencing any service.
If you are under medical supervision, or if you have a condition for which exercise or dietary changes may be contraindicated, you must obtain prior clearance from your treating physician or specialist before participating in our services.
atelier 8 GmbH accepts no liability for any adverse health outcome arising from failure to disclose relevant medical information, or from disregarding recommendations to seek medical advice.

For clients based in the United States, all health and wellness records collected in the course of our services are stored and managed through Practice Better, a practice management platform that operates in compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standards. While atelier 8 GmbH is a Switzerland-based provider and is not itself a HIPAA-covered entity under US federal law, we have adopted a HIPAA-compliant platform as a matter of best practice to meet the health data protection expectations of our US-based clients.

6 / Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment: No charge. The session may be rescheduled at no additional cost.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice: The full session fee is charged. No refund or credit will be issued.

No-shows (failure to attend without notice): The full session fee is charged.
To cancel or reschedule, please contact atelier 8 as early as possible by phone (+41 78 679 77 08) or email. We recommend confirming cancellations in writing.
atelier 8 GmbH reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to illness, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered an alternative appointment or a full refund.
7 / Pricing and Payment
Current prices for all services will be communicated to you at the time of booking. All prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include applicable Swiss VAT where required.
Payment is due upon invoicing unless otherwise agreed. Invoices are sent by email and may be paid by bank transfer or, where available, through the Practice Better client portal via Stripe or Square. Payments processed through these platforms are subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
For session packages, full payment is required prior to commencing the package, unless a written payment plan has been agreed.
atelier 8 GmbH reserves the right to withhold services in the event of outstanding unpaid invoices.
8 / Limitation of Liability
Participation in Pilates sessions involves physical activity that carries an inherent risk of injury. By booking a Pilates session, you acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at your own risk. atelier 8 GmbH takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of clients during sessions.
To the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law, atelier 8 GmbH excludes liability for:

Any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in Pilates sessions, where such injury results from the client's failure to follow instructions or to disclose relevant health information.

Any reliance placed on nutrition or wellness information provided in the course of our services, where such information does not constitute a clinical medical prescription.

Any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of this website or our services.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Swiss law.
9 / Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, and programme materials — is the property of atelier 8 GmbH or its licensors and is protected by Swiss and international copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. Personal, non-commercial use for reference purposes is permitted provided you do not alter the content and retain all copyright notices.
Nutrition plans, coaching materials, and other documents prepared by atelier 8 GmbH for individual clients are provided for personal use only and may not be shared, published, or reproduced without consent.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the site. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this website or its underlying infrastructure.

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
12 / Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Swiss law, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Canton of Zürich, Switzerland. We are, however, always willing to seek an amicable resolution before initiating formal proceedings.
For clients who are consumers resident in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain applicable and are not overridden by this clause.

For clients resident in the United States, nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory consumer protection rights or remedies available to you under the applicable laws of your state of residence. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and such mandatory provisions, the mandatory provisions of your state law shall prevail to the extent required.

atelier 8 GmbH reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on this website. The date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically. Your continued use of our website or services following any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
